There is a decent MP-3 version of 8/27/72 on nugs.net as well. A remastered version has been shown at film festivals, to raise money for the Rex Foundation. There's been some talk about this show being on a DVD for almost a year - and no dice yet...

hear-hear! Rumored to be released for 3 years "Sunshine Daydream" IMO, the films master no longer exists, lost or taped over by the Merry Pranksters decades ago. Has anyone seen it other than a multi-generation copy?
Now, gdlive has 2 good audio sources for download.....

Just completed d'ling this source. Great audio, decent video (considering the time period and substance ingestion). Overall, must have. We've all had the tape - classic Dark Star (personally, I've always thought the stage banter was the real treat to the tape). Now we can all see what was going on.
